Yesterday at around 5:45PM my year officially ended. I unplugged the intercom, disconnected the sound system, and put things as "away" as I could convince myself to.
One of the advantages of working in academia is the seasonality of the work: there is a definite ebb and flow to things. Summer is almost here, and for the next two weeks I get what is usually (and still hopefully) a proper run up to Summer.
Here's hoping . . .

Let me be the first to welcome you back! I wish I could have that kind of "seasonality" again. Where I work, the seasons are "working-overtime" and "not-working-overtime".
BTW, last Saturday was a blast. I still have a smile on my face when I think about it. Imagine how much better it would have been if "Spidey" had been a better movie!
I was gonna give the concert a miss, glad I wasn't leading things. Cannot believe that KC and the Sunshine Band are still around.
We'll do something like that again.
